Sorry but trump has shaded me badly on the idea of celebrities in office. But could be just the ridiculous ones like Ventura or Dwayne Johnson.

I voted in Manhattan and the polling place (a school, of course) was deserted when I voted around 5:00 pm. State-wide reports indicate that there was a higher than normal turnout, however.

Weird.

The people apparently didn’t believe that it was the best one presented and voted for the other candidate. Time to move on.

Could it be that she'd have actually done WORSE without the "Our Revolution" stamp of approval? Or was this something that turned off voters?

.

"The result of this strategic influx in spending is that turnout is extremely high throughout the state today. This is likely due to two factors: tens of millions of dollars in advertisements from my supporter-funded campaign pushing voters to the polls; and a desire on the part of prime Democratic voters to send a message to [President] Trump for the first time since his election. Given that sticking it to Trump was essentially the Democratic Party's entire reelection argument, this phenomenon greatly advantaged me."

It's what we need in every race in 2018. Whining about achieving it is not a good look. Really.

Sorry for the "one true Scotsman" ploy, but it's true. When voter turnout is high, real Democrats tend to win.

She has a point to make about the effects of massive spending on politics, where an incumbent almost always has an advantage due, in part, to those trying to curry favor from those currently in power. But no progressive can ever complain about high voter turnout and be taken seriously.
