Do you think one or more people turned Mitt down before he settled on Ryan?

It's kind of odd that Willard would choose, not even the Friday news dump, but a Saturday morning to release this news. I assumed MSNBC would be offline so I didn't hear the news until a couple hours ago. It's like he's ashamed, and rightfully so. Ryan is an overly opinionated idealogue, barely out of his 30s. How many turned Mitt down?

They had to cancel part of the bus tour here in NC. It makes me think the poll numbers forced their hand a week or so early.

The heat was ratcheting up and he needed a distraction, pronto. Why else did he use the Saturday morning act?

on the presumptive presidential candidates' upward redistribution economic ideology.

It makes no sense at all to double down on that.

Instead of softening the harshness, he choose to double down...

That normally merely screaming banshee, Ann Coulter, went positively nuclear about her Massachusetts health care comments and she was but one to torpedo the SS Rmoney over it.

New precedent has been set on Friday news dumps - do the really vile shit at midnight.
