I Wonder How All The Anti Government Folks In The Florence Zone Feel Now.

Many voters in the hurricane damage zone will need government more than ever and government assistance more than ever once the flooding recedes. I suspect there will be massive hidden damager revealed like never before. Landscape will be forever changed like never before most likely.

In truth we are all in this together like it or not. We cannot function without effective government that works for all. Even a lot of wealthy individuals will be effected by what happened.

First, they will be first in line to get the assistance the U.S. government will provide.

Second, they will claim that it's their tax dollars providing the assistance.

It's not their tax dollars since red states generally get more money from the Federal Government than they pay in taxes. Blue states contribute far more money to the Federal budget than red states.

Republicans are fundamentally hypocrites. It's in their DNA.

not spend resources on those "others," and also not do anything to interfere with their freedom to do whatever they want, without regard for whom they might harm in the process.
