All they care about is cutting taxes, cutting regulations, and sticking it to people of color. They couldn't care less about anything else.

Ever since 1980 Reagan disaster, I've currdled in brine watching the reactionaries destroy the USA. The pigs waited until the Grand Army of The Republic (GAR) faded away, then they struck- the KKK ie kakaka, becoming next big thing about 1920, when the Union army vets were too old to notice. ..
sigh...

yes, I was this happy loving grammie. oh I could get my dander up over an injustice here or there. but since twitler moved into the white house I have turned into a raving bitch. I am ranting all over the internet. forwarding the posts of others, the memes and pictures that state my rage more effectively than my 1000 words. I can't count the numbers of friends and family who have blocked me on facebook. not because they disagree with me, but that I am possessed - relentless. i'm scaring them.

i am the grandchild of a union organizer. I am the granddaughter of an immigrant. i am the daughter of a WW2 vet. I am the daughter of a mother who grew up on a farm and worked in a factory. At 80 she was still perusing the classifieds looking for a job (she couldn't possibly do) because she didn't feel that she was "earning her salt" (old saying going back to roman times in polish salt mines where workers were paid with salt)

I absorbed the concepts of justice, equality, patriotism from these people like nutrients from the food i ate.

The news was discussed and dissected every day. before tv we hit the local movie theatre almost 4 days a week for 2 movies a cartoon and the news reel for 10cents. we were the first on our block to get a tv.

the original 15 minute newscasts were appointment tv. wouldn't miss it.

I learned to read very fast and the Carnegie library was my home away from home. I know i am weird, History became my calling. Words, langauge. well written sentences became my passion.

In high school in 1964 there was a mandatory civics class for seniors. our teacher was Mr. Blue.
He was a veteran of course, i don't think any of the male teachers were not veterans. He brought government and civic duty to life. to this day, i can't imagine that one of Mr.Blue's students do not vote.He drummed into us that voting was our sacred duty, bought by the blood of Americans on the
battle fields of Europe, Africa and the Pacific Islands.

and here i sit all of these years later watch nazi's on tv. seeing ignorant people holding confederate flags, and giving the white supremacy hand signal, like we used flash the peace sign. i want to throw up.

if my dad was alive he would be locked and loaded and headed to where ever these punks are. no kidding, he would be 98 now if he was alive - but he never forgot his 101st experience for a minute. He still woke up from dreams smelling the concentration camp they liberated.

So i am furious for him. i am furious with the media for not doing their job. i am furious at the limpuglicants for being small greedy sons of bitches, fostering fascism in broad daylight. i am furious at the troglodytes who aim their anger at the wrong people. i am furious at the racists. i am furious at corrupt complicit law enforcement. I am furious that the ERA wasn't passed when we had the momentum. I am furious that public schools are being left to rot, teachers unsupported, children not being taught critical thinking skills.

Yes i used to be a nice little old lady. spunky, but nice. now i don't know if i will live long enough to see Justice served. the ship of state set back on course. my grandchildren's future bright once more.

i am enraged. join me. AND VOTE LIKE OUR LIVES DEPEND ON IT - BECAUSE THIS TIME THEY DO!
