Scott lauds Romney VP choice while at Lakeland event
LAKELAND --
Just before attending an event in Lakeland on Saturday, Gov. Rick Scott described Mitt Romney's vice presidential pick of Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan as a great choice. Romney introduced Ryan as his running mate Saturday morning, turning to the architect of a deeply conservative and intensely controversial long-term budget plan to remake Medicare and cut trillions in federal spending.
Hes very focused on the same thing that Gov. Romney is focused on and that Im focused on: jobs, Scott said. This election is going to be just like my election in 2010; it will be about jobs."
Romney and his campaign have not been quick to point out the slow but stead growth in employment, but Scott has continued to promote Florida's job numbers since before Romney all but secured the GOP candidacy. "Unemployment has dropped faster than any state but one," Scott said. "The number of people on unemployment has dropped over 40 percent. So, were on the right track."

I'm sure this will help Romney in Florida.
