So, to summarize, a confessed serial sexual predator nominated a man who is credibly accused of attempted rape to be the key vote to strip women of reproductive freedom.Link to tweet

(3,579 posts)Overturning Roe v. Wade will unleash all kinds of hell upon the Republicans at the polls, but I think the long-ball game of the Republican extremists is stripping women of their legal personhood. We need to have a deep and thorough examination of all the judges that Trump is getting confirmed to the federal bench, because that is where I think the weaselly action is going to go down.

(37,648 posts)White soccer moms and wealthy women are majority Republican, who vote often and reliably Republican. They don't care about Roe v Wade so much. Besides, rich women can always get abortions. I think soccer moms are holier than thou and blame "those women" for getting themselves in an unwanted pregnancy situation.

(18,636 posts)Too any people think it's been ratified. The fact is women today have fewer rights than even minority males.
This is one of the main reasons I dislike the Gulf states.

(18,636 posts)..for a republican.
By McConnell's standard we could put Al Franken or Bill Clinton up for the SC, right Mitch?
It's always OK if a republican does it.

(935 posts)I was thinking if Kavanaugh had succeeded in his attack, and gotten the goods, what if he got her pregnant? Well I sure hope Franklin Graham has some mulligans left. We won't go back to the 1950s. At some point this dam may burst. Only thing is that would probably make Putin so happy. Dumpster fires everywhere. I would love to slap that bunghole lipped Kavanaugh into 1950 though.

(6,556 posts)tRump and his cabal hate women, and they have already floated a repeal of the 19th Amendment of the Bill of Rights. That's right, part of their long game is to remove women's right to vote. I find that behind the scenes movement especially frightening.
