If 2 Republican Senators say no..it is not too late..Yes, the two would risk careers, but they would do what is the correct thing to do.

I haven't found any reference anywhere else to a new (post -WAPO story) statement - and I can't find a date on this statement..

but I've now found enough references to fragments of it in other articles that identify it as a response that I'm convinced.

Given the current attitude toward sexual assault, I hope their haste to get out in front of it bites them in the rear end.

But there is nothing in the statement itself to identify when it was made. People tweet old things they've found pretty frequently.
