Trump has the racist vote already. And he will keep them. Maybe 5% - 10% of his support could he weakened by such tapes. But many of the seats we need to wrest from Republican control will be much more at play is those votes are put back into play.

If there was a 1% swing in the vote in 2016, we'd have been talking about a Clinton landslide - as she would have won not just Wisconsin, PA and MI, but also Florida and North Carolina. Plus, GA and AZ would have been close losses. That would have led to talking about how demographics have all but eliminated Republican chances at the presidential level.

people are always posting on here how Trump supporters are a lost cause. And while many are, we have to remember that Nixon and W both were in the high 20's/low 30's at the end of their Presidencies, if just 3-5% of Trump supporters are peeled away he'll be in territory where there might begin to be talk of a GOP Primary challenge.

...I think that every single person that supports Trump or approves of him does so not just DESPITE his racism but BECAUSE of it. Evidence of that will not sway anyone.

Whether anybody else has them remains to be seen. Mark Burnett took a huge payoff (plus many signed NDA's) and he's contractually required to keep it all locked down.

Trump is on tape dropping N Bombs and a whole host of other disgustingly racist and sexist things. His base won't care because he'll be saying what they all want to say. But this will be about his supporters in Congress, they'll have no choice but to call for him to resign. His impeachment and removal will happen if these tapes are released.
