But I never forgot one of the stories he told me about "a very young girl from across the Bay, who was pretty much out of body." Meeting someone of the opposite sex that wanted to communicate.....I was all in. But her communication, for the most part, was not focused on me, always something else. But that was OK (for awhile) as any positive communication was a great thing to be had. Any clumsy attempts on me part was a "NO GO". Boundaries....I respected them.

I used to hitchhike with my girlfriend in hot pants ( such an unfortunate style name ) and a purse of pot and not once, not ever, did we ever have a problem with drivers.

How can that be? We were definitely more civil.

I hitched from Worcester, Ma to Maine all the time. Some peeps were different....Holy Roller's and Porn Producers looking for new talent (LOL). But I survived. Probably helped in meeting new people and making new friends.*

*One guy picked me up and he was MS in the USA. You could just tell. But....he had the Live Dead (Skull and Roses) playing the entire 2 Hr. trip to Worcester. That made me recalibrate my predispositions about people....
