I'm a Florida resident vacationing in Indiana and...

I have contacted the local party because they are having their annual JJ dinner this week. I’ve persuaded my dem friends from here to join me, and they have reserved tickets and are excited about the event! Jill Donnelly is the speaker, and her husband is running for re-election.

I’m excited that I have inspired dems who haven’t been involved in actual party events, but even more exciting is that some of my republican friends who detest Trump are asking if they could attend. It’s not a cheap event and they are extremely courteous folks. I’m just wondering if a Dem party event is the best introduction.

Thoughts?

Maybe they'll hear an idea that will spark their interest in things Democratic?

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Go for it!

They are good people who bought into a crappy philosophy, and then got swept into Trumpland, and hate it. They aren’t the nutty evangelical lot. But you know how our party can be, lol. If they expect an organized, well tuned group without argument or opinion, like the repubs can be, they will get a shock to the system! LOL!!

like trump and many republicon congress critters; but they may be sick of those horrors too and have a great time. Democrats do know how to party and enjoy life.
