It’s an avalanche of abject ignorance every day. Some days I take it better than others. The attacks on Kavanaugh’s accuser make this a “not better” day.

believe the Red Wave is coming they'll be so discouraged they won't bother to vote. Don't forget what happened in 1980.

And if you don't immediately remember: The networks all called the race for Reagan before the polls closed on the West Coast. Lots of discouraged Democrats simply left the lines they were standing in and didn't vote at all.

They are masters of disinformation, so this report has 2 possible benefits to them.

It scares some of their base into voting, and it lulls some of ours into doing the whole protest vote thing (leaving the key ticket slots blank or voting third party).

Of those, the second is more insidious. If dems believe the whole blue wave thing it will cost us key votes. We could lose seats because of it.

I still hear garbage about purity testing candidates. Some on the radical edges are saying to sit out specific races because the candidate with a D next to their name isn't pure enough. It will send a message they say.

If people listen to this russian bot crap, get angry for whatever reason, and think the election is in the bag they will not vote correctly.

we lost michigan by 10k votes; about 2 per precinct. Upwards of 80k voters, most of which voted a straight line party ticket, didn't vote for president.

Think about that.

80k D voters bought the hate that they didn't have to vote for the "lesser of 2 evils", even though there was only 1 evil on the ballot, and the most qualified candidate in recent history.

Many likely thought their votes wouldn't matter anyway. The election was in the bag.

It wasn't. A combination of disinformation, hate bots, bernie/stein actions, and voter suppression/fraud, combined to cost us the state.

Or them, for that matter. Those'll never change. They're just a burden we have to drag forward as we go.

drumpf/PUtin is wht I fear about the mid-terms. That PUtin with agent orange's cooperation with refusing to harder our voting systems and voter rolls will delete or add a percentage of votes to ensure that all r's win in all important states. So if Dem is up 6% in TN, 7% of Dem votes get deleted. WE have no systematic or easy way to prove this and the R states will refuse to investigate, will just run the final machine totals again, but Russias' hacking would not show up at all this way. We have to come in over what's showing in polls to have any chance to stop this illegal takeover of our country.

Intelligence knew Russia had penetrated the voting systems in multiple states and did not investigate. They started investigations at the state level but didn't do more than run the totals through the machines again. They never tried to account for all the undervotes, and they were massive, only occurring in Dem districts, and only for president. If they don't want to find evidence, they won't, and Russia will only hack states with R governors to protect their efforts.
