With two federal investigations underway, the job of Donald Trump's legal team is probably hard enough. But the New York Times reports that it's being made even more difficult because their client is keeping them in the dark about key events he's been involved as president or as head of the Trump Organization. More than a dozen people close to the president told the newspaper that the team doesn't understand where the investigations could be headed, what witnesses have told investigators, or the extent to which Trump could be exposed. The position was reportedly made worse by former head of Trump's legal team, John Dowd, who is said to have failed to ask witnesses what they planned to say, didn't get them to debrief the team after their interviews, and didn't even interview the president about the events that were under scrutiny. The new legal team has reportedly spent at least 20 hours interviewing the president in a late attempt to get a grasp of what Mueller may uncover.
