donnie will get ammo for his "partisan witch hunt" conspiracy theory ("people who hunt criminals hate me, so it must be political!" )

but there will also be more revealed that's very damning for donnie and his gang.

and, of course, it will likely compromise national security, methods, and sources, but since when do republicans care about that when there's are republicans criminals to keep in office....

It would require actually reading through the documents, or at least their summaries.

wouldn't surprise me if the 5 pages were selected for political reasons rather than national security or legitimately personal information, but i wouldn't put it past them....

still, this seems rather crude as far as selective release of information goes, at least at the detailed, text level.

the selective release part comes in the choice of which people to have their texts released -- all people donnie hates and none of the people he likes....

Trump reads at approximately fourth grade level. He has no idea what he's looking at.

Remember what happened with the Nunes memo. It "proved" exactly the opposite of what Nunes wanted.

A congressman said that BLOTUS hasn't read the documents or even know what's in there.

There very well may be information revealed that paints an even worse picture of the orange asshole and harms him even more politically.

I hope it blows up in his fucking face.

Let's hope so!

that Trump is selectively releasing documents that will only paint a partial picture. If the potentially bad stuff (for Trump) is left hidden, then he can sell the picture he wants to his cult and some of the independents out there.

that Trump is doing this to harm the investigation is a red herring. It has already been demonstrated that the investigation was legal, proper and founded on fact. Un-redacting info from an already released document changes none of that. I believe this is Trump doing Putin's bidding so that Russian intelligence can know the methods and techniques we used to find them and make the appropriate changes for their future/current meddling and communications.

Nakedly partisan selective declassification intended to derail an ongoing criminal investigation. 11 words, simple concept. Will the media be able to grasp this, or will we get the standard-issue "It's too complicated!" Barbie doll whine*?

*Mattel got in a bit of a jam several years ago when a talking Barbie doll they were marketing spouted phrases "Math is hard!" juxtaposed with "Let's go shopping!" They got walloped, and they deserved it.

Nunes, Meadows and Jordan ran to BLOTUS and said, "Here's what we can do Mr. President!" Ryan had to sign off on it.

But, there could be an Ooops! 'inadvertent' release of those pesky and damning details by Dems or other interested intelligence sources.

And Mark Warner's tweet actually begs the question, why don't the Dems "in the know" about those details just freakin' spill the contents since the ol' Pussy Grabber is going to throw it all out there anyway? I mean, if it's declassified.....?
