If there is one thing I don't understand..

Why in hell have Dems. gone quiet for 2 fucking years over the fact that Trump consistently questioned Barack Obama's citizen status for almost 2 years before the election.. His decision to repeat these disgusting racist lies over and over again for the whole pre-election period... is still in my mind so disgusting.... the fact that the Dems. have not addressed this practically at all during Trump's presidency is almost as bad.... If I were head of the DNC.. I'd make a point to constantly remind the world of what he did... to an honorable/ great human being .. This issue still bothers me soooo fucking much!

I can't think of a single sensible, rational, or productive reason why anyone would think we should be calling out birtherism every day. Or, as you say, even remember that assinine lie when we are facing several huge national emergencies at once.

Unless, of course, the idea would be to distract from what we need to be doing. Or to keep the question itself in the front of everyone's mind.

But probably just a handy delivery vehicle for the usual whining and complaints about our party. Like someone stapling a ripped t-shirt because getting up from the easy chair for a safety pin's too much bother.

Tom Perez wants President Obama on the campaign trail to draw a contrast to trump.

You do know that the DNC is focused on winning congressional and senate seats right now. Without regaining control of at least one house of Congress, we are doomed. I do not see what more the DNC should be doing other than encouraging President Obama to be on the campaign trail

And yet polling shows that health care and other issues rank higher. Right now, the Democrats need to win as many seats as possible and birtherism is not on any list that I have seen in the real world.

Trump is a disgusting idiot. He is alienating Puerto Rican citizens that may help us keep the Florida Senate seat and pick up the governor seat. Trump is alienating women with Kavanaugh and trying to gut health care. All of these are far better issues.

The best approach here is to keep President Obama on the campaign trail so that voters can remember what it was like when we had a real POTUS

He went through more than 8 years of their slurs and let them roll off his back. A better man by far. He and Dems ALL know he is not the issue or the concern. It is the candidates and the midterms. It is stopping trump in the voting booth. Obama made that statement loud and clear in one of his last speeches. And far to many people tossed their vote away.

He will always be MR President to me. He was my candidate from the beginning.

strategy from the right..Not now... It's just not his manner... He's out there sticking to positive stuff. It's the Dem strategists who must do this..

Just remember the Black Vote was off substantially during the Trump Election.. Part of the reason.. No identification with Hillary.. The racism and bigotry of Trumpers must be part of the discussion.
The pro Nazi's infiltration into the Republican party as well. What better way than to remind them how Trump began his run for the Oval Office. By flinging racist remarks at our Barack

but of course I suspect this is just an opportunity to call out Democrats just before the midterms

Ironically, not that long ago there were some well known progressives who used to roam the halls of DU who were constantly out slaming President Obama and calling Hillary Clinton every foul name in the book.

In fact one went so far as to call President Obama a "POS, used car salesman, and told him to FO", and the number who joined in the chorus here at the time was disgusting.
