Intercept Report Reveals Senate Ignored Federal Court Employees Willing to Testify Against Kavanaug

Intercept Report Reveals Senate Ignored Federal Court Employees Willing to Testify Against Kavanaugh
Story
September 18, 2018

Ryan Grim
Washington, D.C., bureau chief for The Intercept. His latest piece is headlined “Attorney Sent Letter to Chuck Grassley and Dianne Feinstein Claiming Federal Court Employees Willing to Speak About Brett Kavanaugh.”

Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley has announced that the committee will hold another hearing on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh next Monday in light of accusations that he attempted to rape a 15-year-old girl at a party while he was in high school. Both Kavanaugh and his accuser, professor Christine Blasey Ford, will testify under oath. As the allegations against Kavanaugh gain steam, a new report from Ryan Grim for The Intercept has revealed that attorney Cyrus Sanai tried multiple times to reach out to Senators Charles Grassley and Dianne Feinstein on behalf of federal court employees also willing to speak out against Kavanaugh. The employees wanted to talk about Kavanaugh’s work as a clerk for disgraced former 9th Circuit Court of Appeals Chief Judge Alex Kozinski, who resigned in 2017 after being accused by at least 15 women of sexual misconduct. But Sanai never heard back. Kavanaugh has said repeatedly that he did not witness Kozinski behave in a sexually inappropriate way. We speak with Ryan Grim, Washington, D.C., bureau chief for The Intercept. His latest piece is headlined “Attorney Sent Letter to Chuck Grassley and Dianne Feinstein Claiming Federal Court Employees Willing to Speak About Brett Kavanaugh.”

this OP is about federal employees who wanted to blow the whistle on Kavanaugh and were rebuffed.

...attorney Cyrus Sanai tried multiple times to reach out to Senators Charles Grassley and Dianne Feinstein on behalf of federal court employees also willing to speak out against Kavanaugh. Is/was there a protocol in place? The thing I'm getting about at least a part of all this is that she is being kicked around from both sides and being blamed for this mess of a situation and I think there is a fair amount of whataboutism going on here.

I never heard about these employees until yesterday.

As for Feinstein keeping quiet regarding Dr. Ford, she imo did the right thing. I have no interest in blaming her for anything and realize we're still in the minority.

Tell me why Feinstein would not have at least shared this contact with others?. This accusation has witnesses willing to testify, so it's not about upholding a victim's identity. It also goes to him committing perjury in these hearings.

It would be one thing if she followed up and didn't think the info was credible. Here it appears it was dismissed out of hand.

From the article,

Feinstein and Grassley, he said, were the only two he made sure received the letter. “I spent quite a bit of time trying to get Feinstein to address it,” he said.

People should call as many senators as they can.

Some character called 'bettyellen' in cahoots with another called 'BigmanPigman' put together a list with contact info (phone, fax, address):
CANCEL KAVANUAGH, call, write, march, donate.

If that were true, the incident with Dr. Ford wouldn't be in the news 24/7 and have sidetracked Kavenaugh's vote.
