As a white male who’s a vintage embodiment of a the classic knee-jerk, bleeding-heart liberal/Democrat/progressive (across-the-board on all issues, all people and the hassles they face day-to-day) I have to say: These are some truly shitty white people. In fact, they are the worst kind of white people— completely and willfully ignorant, with an apparent peer desire to use their politics and religion as weapons to beat down hard on all POC and women, and LGBTQ, and the disabled, ad nauseum.

How are Republicans able to be so damned heartless and detached, and bear the obvious, close-the-loop irony that they cannot honestly respond to that very inquiry?

It’s because they have revealed repeatedly what they actually are: creatures devoid of any capacity for self-reflection, empathy, or common sense. They have become a cult of internally generated rage and fear— an American Taliban—and have succeeded so completely in separating themselves from love of (or love for) humankind, that they now seek to destroy what they cannot attain.
