and expressed willingness to testify under oath, that has to come first. It's a matter of duty and ethics, and I'm guessing probably good political strategy as well. Nothing she does should create doubt about her probity, and that would.

to take her story directly to the nation. It is all about duty to the nation, and that is why she came forward.
But for now that requires going through the judiciary committee conducting the confirmation hearing so they have a proper chance to investigate without inappropriate interference.
