(1,533 posts)Twitter is the worst form of communication I have ever seen. No wonder Twitler is so fond of it - it fits his illiterate mind.

(4,484 posts)It's not like she's asking for the moon here.
Honestly, they could give her a full month and still push the confirmation through in the lame duck session.
The only reason they are doing this is because people like Grassley and McConnell hate women.

(15,139 posts)use Twitter as an official means of communication. I cringe when I see journalists reporting on the latet Tweet from the orange idiot. And Grassley's pathetic abbreviations are laughable. It all cheapens the discourse. Whatever happened to the decorum of official press releases from the offices of the President and members of Congress? Bread and circuses.

(10,721 posts)The timing and terms is what's been up for debate; not Dr. Ford's (death threat-defying) willingness to testify.
Fuck you, Grassley and every other Republican.

I'd tell these GOP Senator a-holes to take a hike and watch how a real investigation is done.
If there is no statute of limitations on the criminal charge, I suspect there would be no statute of limitations on a corresponding lawsuit. Her lawyers might look into that before all the dust settles because of the damages to her and her family's lives.
If she does all of that, Grassley might finally clue in that his candidate is going to be tarnished and messed up for a couple of years.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) isnt afraid to use Twitter to try to get President Donald Trumps attention. Indeed, he may have no other choice
Last month, he issued a number of tweets meant for Whoever monitors twitter at WH for President Trump, asking for accountability and transparency from the administration, and on Sunday, he addressed the @POTUS Twitter account and asked for help with immigration issues.

(15,245 posts)I can just picture him in his office with staffers discussing this drivel. My bet he got a young "female" staffer to peck this out on a Windows 10 PC. If his millennial IT person is female be sure at some point in the process he called her "honey".

(22,913 posts)She was meeting with FBI agents about the death threats her family has received at 8:00 PM Eastern time while she was being told she had decide if she would agree to the Republican terms by 10:00 PM. No way could she weigh all the consequences of her decision without at least a night to sleep on it after meeting with the FBI and some time to talk with family, friends, and trusted advisors. She is rightfully concerned over her safety and was not going to decide before meeting with the FBI last night.
