Nothing Normal About Allegations Against Teenager Kavanaugh - by Connie Schultz

Tuesday evening, I was scrolling Twitter for news updates when I came upon this post by Emma Thatcher:

“Hello, female high school student here. I would just like to say that the emergence of this whole ‘teenage boys should get a pass because they’re not mature enough to understand consent’ narrative is probably one of the most unsettling things I have ever witnessed.”

She was referring, of course, to recent attempts to simultaneously excuse and demonize all teenage boys to salvage the reputation of one man, U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Christine Blasey Ford, a research psychologist and professor, has accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her at a party when he was 17, and she was 15.

In a letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Rep. Anna Eshoo, she describes Kavanaugh as “stumbling drunk” as he and a friend pushed her into a bedroom. She writes that he pinned her onto a bed, groped her and grinded against her, and tried to remove her clothes. When he put his hand over her mouth to muffle her screams, she wrote, “I feared he might inadvertently kill me.”

They truly want to make rape not a crime unless the victim is sent to the hospital, and even then if the rapist is white and rich, they will excuse it. Several repug judges have lost their jobs because of their glad handling of rapists, and letting them off the hook because their lives are so much more important than the victims. Ryan has sponsored and supported bills all over the country to give rapists rights to any child that comes from his crime and the moms are forced to allow him to come to her house and has no power to stop him. Repugs were evil nasty hate filled misogynistic bastards long before drumpf, they just got lot worse with his example of assault and actually promoting it.

Of course, that is only because he couldn't disrobe her to finish the job. That would be their logic. I'm not sure how they are going to get around his claim that he wasn't there.

The other thing I find curious is how vehement Judge is about not testifying. If he were truthful, it would probably ruin his career, but then it's OK that it screwed up the victim's life? He's the one I particularly want to hear from.

Supposedly, Whelan will come in to save the day for them all. I hear he works for the same company that came up with the Swiftboating of John Kerry. They were pretty sloppy on that one and, from what I've seen so far, Whelan is hurting for good ideas. What does the distance between their houses have to do with anything?
