None of this means anything if we don't win the Senate

In fact, Trump being who he is, I fully expect he will nominate an even harder-line conservative with a very boring past, if the Republicans keep the Senate as they are favored to do.

So I guess the question is: assuming we stop Kavanaugh, as now seems highly likely, how will this play in the Senate races? Will it help us our hurt us?

If they are on record supporting Kavanaugh and/or insisting on rushing to get him confirmed while knowing about these newer allegations, in addition to Ms. Ford's, this will hurt them big time with women and independents.
They will be more likely to lose the Senate but still have the lame duck session to get someone else confirmed.

an impeccable reputation.

We talked about this at dinner last night. The term "impeccable reputation". What does it mean, and can't anyone just say that about anyone (who has no police record and hasn't publicly shamed people (*like Trump has))
