A spokesperson for Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on Sunday night said the panel will "attempt to evaluate" new allegations of sexual assault regarding Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
The spokesperson in a statement slammed Democrats for "withholding information" regarding the allegations.
"Yet again, Senate Democrats actively withheld information from the rest of the Committee only to drop information at politically opportune moments," the statement said, doubling down on his remarks that Democrats withheld the first allegation against Kavanaugh from Christine Blasey Ford, who went public last week.
The spokesperson said the Democrats appear to be "more interested in a political takedown" than "pursuing allegations through a bipartisan and professional" investigation.

Whining about when you got what is not relevant.
The only thing that matters is your manic rush to install a sexual predator and degenerate on the Supreme Court.

(10,130 posts)all they had to do was call in the FBI ...
But they knew the FBI would find the sex assault skeletons in Kavanaugh's closet.
So they cut off any witnesses and pressed for a quick review.
They knew all along.

(4,308 posts)Republicons think it is perfectly okay for them to violate the United States Constitution, as they did when they refused to give their advice and consent to Obama's US Constitution-mandated Supreme Court appointment Merrick Garland ("The President SHALL APPOINT..."ETC.). Everybody else, however, is supposedly required by God to tiptoe around scrupulously respecting GOP feelings and desires.

(65,483 posts)That's precisely why they were rushing those arbitrary deadlines. They were hoping to confirm him before it all came out.
Accusing the Dems of withholding information is almost as ironic as Mitch McConnell being outraged that the Dems wouldn't, as he claims, give the president's SCOTUS nominee a quick and fair confirmation process.

This guy hates the Clintons for what he cannot accept about himself. He doesnt need a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court. He needs regular appointments with a therapist.
