ideological fantasy, and talking points is something we should celebrate and laugh about, or be afraid, considering a large chunk of the population actually support these lunatics

don't let that 50/50 thing scare you. They don't have a solid majority, they just yell louder and have more money.
If we had mandatory voting (like australia) I'd say the repubs would be a super minority party. Which explains why the repubs are ALWAYS against anything that makes voting easier for everyone,

Turnout, especially in local, state and federal House races. The RW extremists have made inroads in those political arenas.
