When our state Treasury Rob McCord got in trouble for shaking down contractors for donations, his wife was no where to be seen. She didn’t want the political life. When he got sentenced, his brother and his sons were at the hearing. By time it got to that point, she had divorced his backside.

She was the exception to the rule. Bravo for her.

They blamed the little girl and her parents. They blamed people making too much out of nothing. They claimed it was consensual. They didn't care because the little girl was someone that didn't matter to them. She wasn't one of them.

That seems to count for a heck of a lot nowadays. Like "free pass for any and all past misdeeds" kind of count.

But considering the town and the level of hypocrisy in the town, I have no doubt the answer is yes.

Their idea of normal is a husband like their father. They put up with incredible things sometimes .

I worked with a young woman who was 26. She belonged to on of those super strict churches. Lived at home. Wore long skirts. Sewed all her own clothes. She had to call home to get her father's permission to go to lunch with other employees.

She attended one if those strict church colleges. She became a math teacher and got married to another super strict male in her religion.

One of the must-haves is probably low self esteem.

Their wives are built the same as they are. Why is this still a surprise?

whether the spouses realize it or not. They are shallow political window-dressing for those that can't win on facts or issues.

She's probably very Christian conservative. So many of those kind of women refuse to believe their husbands are deviants. They believe that their husband is the head of the household and that is the way God wants it. She might secretly be disgusted by him and maybe even believe the allegations. But she probably just prays to God to give her the strength to be a good wife and mother and God will take care of the rest.

I also wonder how Mrs. Kavanaugh managed to only have 2 daughters. Was she taking those "abortion inducing drugs"? aka birth control pills.
