Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's Yale roommate says he believes second accuser

SAN MATEO, Calif. (KGO) -- Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's roommate from Yale says he believes the second woman accusing Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.

James Roche says he was Kavanaugh's roommate in the Fall of 1983.

"It is from this experience that I concluded that although Brett was normally reserved, he was a notably heavy drinker, even by the standards of the time, and that he became aggressive and belligerent when he was very drunk. I did not observe the specific incident in question, but I do remember Brett frequently drinking excessively and becoming incoherently drunk."

Maybe the drinking explains how he racked up a huge debt. Honeycombe8 Sep 2018 #4

At least MSNBC didn't show a clip of it. I bet they didn't, because it would be damning.

Although drinking heavily & becoming belligerent is not directly related to the charges, it does explain how this reserved, supposedly chaste man could have done those things.

It reminds me of domestic abusers that the man's friends are so surprised to find out he was like that because he wasn't like that at all, and they never saw indications of it. Because you never really know how someone is with a partner behind closed doors.

What was broken in his psyche that compelled him to become a lifelong blackout drinker? Just as with Trump, something very deep inside of him is not right: a lifelong compulsion to bully others, a compulsion to lie – even about trivia, a need to always have the last word and denounce anyone who dares to confront him, a deep feeling of self-entitlement, a lifelong refusal to take responsibility for any of his actions, the need to always hide behind women (his daughters, wife, and the girls basketball team) while acting as though he is afraid of women and needs to control them, a lifetime of living beyond his means, an insistence on holding an extremely powerful job for which he is clearly unqualified, the unexplained and then lied-about secret payment of his substantial debts, and an inability to man-up, alone, to face any responsibility or account for any action on his own without an enormous back-up of highly-paid PR people, lawyers, and orchestrated, phony fans? Seriously, this all, when combined, strikes me as mobster behavior.
