Ted Cruz Heckled Out of D.C. Restaurant: 'We Believe Survivors!'

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was forced out of the D.C. restaurant Fiola on Monday night by protesters denouncing his friendship with Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. An activist group posted a video on Twitter showing Cruz and his wife being chased out of the restaurant by protesters chanting “We believe survivors!” At one point, a man tells Cruz that Beto O’Rourke, the Democrat running against him in November, is “way hotter” than him. Another asks if he will “confirm [his] best friend Brett Kavanaugh?” Cruz then tells the loud crowd “God bless you” and asks them to let his wife through. In a separate clip, a woman claiming to be his constituent asks him how he will vote on Kavanaugh’s confirmation and if he “believes survivors.” Cruz responds, “God bless you, ma’am.” Protesters also gathered outside Cruz’s Austin office earlier Monday to support Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez, who have both accused Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.

The most hated person in all of Congress, and for many good reasons. No one lies that much that isn't corrupt. He's a serial liar and I suspect more about him will be exposed and tank his future in politics.

I seriously had not thought about it before, but they aren't.

Here in Tarrant County I'm not seeing the local Rs doing any kind of teamwork

On the Other Hand, the Democrats are doing combined appearances where districts overlap and attracting good crowds.

Vanessa Adia #RepealAndReplaceKayGranger, Beverly Powell #GetRidOfKonnieBurton, Beth McLaughlin, and Dr Carla Morton do many appearances together, especially education forums. They are all terrific as individuals but up on a stage in a panel discussion on education they are absolutely formidable. It is easy to see that they would be a great team in any type of Federal/State overlap on any issue but especially education!

State Senate, State House and Congressional candidates are doing group appearances all over the county.

Our statewide candidates are teaming up too. It's a very good thing!!!

the perpetually invisible Kay Granger #RepealAndReplace does not seem to be paying any attention to anything. She must think she does not need to do anything but sit back and count the votes on Nov 6. I wish for her a very unpleasant surprise. I wish for all of them a very unpleasant surprise.

It has been so long since we had this many really good candidates on the ballot at the same time. For so many years our candidates have been "warm bodies" to have a name on the ballot. Not. This. Year.

This is our last year to use the straight ticket option in Texas so we should take advantage of it. We won't get everything we want, but we are going to get a good portion of it.

I'll show you a lack of civility. Look at how Republicans are treating sexual assault survivors. I would never have supported hounding a politician out of a restaurant, but these are times that try men's souls. These vile people need to get it through their thick skulls that they have behaved abominably, and we aren't going to take it anymore.
