3 brothers...Adam, Jack and Ryan, from NYC, have recently been enjoying lots of radio airtime and sold out shows with several big hits. The most recent hit has a political message. i like the song and think it's a good 'anthem' for the upcoming election. It's great to see youth aware and paying attention.
So, this is what I'll be humming while I stand in line casting my votes to burn the house (and Senate) down.

"Burn the House Down" features an energetic arrangement of horns that illuminate the hard-hitting lyrics. "Watch me stand in the line, you're only serving lies/ You've got something to hide, we gon' burn the whole house down," they sing.
The song is a reflection of the current American political climate -- and the role that younger generations have within it. "Were at a very interesting point in history right now," Ryan said in a press release announcing the song. "Theres a tangible power that our generation now has, making real political change in the world. That energy excites us, so we wanted to write a song shedding light on it."

" Burn The House Down"
Used to keep it cool
Used to be a fool
All about the bounce in my step
Watch it on the news
Whatcha gonna do?
I could hit refresh and forget
Used to keep it cool
Should I keep it light?
Stay out of the fight?
No one's gonna listen to me
If I write a song
Preaching what is wrong
Will they let me sing on TV?
Should I keep it light?
Is that right?
(Is that right?)
Way up way up we go
Been up and down that road
Way up way up, oh no
We gon' burn the whole house down
Watch me stand in the line
You're only serving lies
You've got something to hide
We gon' burn the whole house down
We gon' burn the whole house down
Yeah
Used to let it go
Walk into the show
Gawking at the tricks up your sleeve
Too good to be true
But I'm in a room
Full of entertainers and thieves
Used to let it go
Woah, oh no
(Whoa, oh no)
Way up way up we go
Been up and down that road
Way up way up, oh no
We gon' burn the whole house down
Watch me stand in the line
You're only serving lies
You've got something to hide
We gon' burn the whole house down
We gon' burn the whole house down
(We gon' burn the whole house down)
Should I hang my head low?
Should I bite my tongue?
Or should I march with every stranger from Twitter to get shit done?
Used to hang my head low
Now I hear it loud
Every stranger from Twitter is gonna burn this down
Way up way up we go
Been up and down that road
Way up way up, oh no
We gon' burn the whole house down
Watch me stand in the line, (whoa oh)
You're only serving lies, (yeah)
You've got something to hide
We gon' burn the whole house down
Whoa oh, yeah
We gon' burn the whole house down
We burn it down, we burn it down
We gon' burn the whole house down

(7,318 posts)And they state that is how they want them to be. "burn the house down" in relation to politics is all of it needs to come down, both parties. They do support some progressive groups such as Its On Us campaign and March for Our Lives campaign so my initial thoughts on their lyrics certainly could be wrong. After doing some research there are a lot more layers to them. I am,,, ambiguous on them lol.
