(9,874 posts)It is who he always was. When has Jeff Flake done anything to separate himself from the pack?

(10,054 posts)I was really hoping he would temporarily morph into a human being for awhile and no vote in the committee vote, but of course that didn't happen. I wrote earlier in another thread that I wish in the upcoming senate vote he does a big dramatic thumbs down like McCain did, but that's not going to happen either....

(15,289 posts)Talk is cheap, that's why Flake does it. Actions are another matter all together.
Never forget this guy was physically engaged in conversation by Ady Barkan, who has terminal ALS, on a flight. Flake said a lot of sympathic words, but did not vote against killing the ACA. That's how cold-hearted Flake is.

(323 posts)He is just a total partisan asshole who covers his assholery with appearances of personal conflict. Fuck him and anyone who ever voted for him.

(1,089 posts)got to him. If he has ANY hope of ever running for POTUS, I think he realized voting for this POS would end that today. So far, I think that's what all this BS posturing as an 'anti-Dumper' was about - if he runs in 2020 or 2024, he can say, "See? I was never for Dump." This whole situation, in effect, called his bluff in a historic way.
*edit* And those two ladies should be toasted as national heroes as well, along with Dr. Ford.

(2,955 posts)There is the Mormon women group against this, so it could be he was swayed by them, since he is Mormon, or maybe the fact he has designs of being a Presidential candidate.
