I have a hard time believing that Democrats would protect Kavanaugh if he was a Democrat

I'm fairly certain he would be cut loose at worst after the hearing. I know that we can be partisan too, but I can't believe we would be so irresponsible.

A Democratic Judge Kavanaugh would never be elevated to stand for a seat on the Supreme Court. But if he was, and these kinds of skeletons came clattering out of his closet, he'd be gone faster than you could say Harriet Miers.

Seriously, what other job interview that features multiple accusations of felonies ends in even a chance of a job offer?

The mere accusations, even if they were rather doubtful, should be disqualifying. Democrats would never support a nominee with that kind of a cloud over their head

Hell, under normal circumstances the sexual stuff wouldn't even have come up. His past actions as a active partisan operative would have ruled amount.
