Philip Lesh, the founding member of the Grateful Dead, reportedly donated $10,000 to a GoFundMe campaign supporting Christine Blasey Ford, the college professor who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, and her family.
A representative for the star bassist confirmed the contribution to the Rolling Stone in a report published on Saturday.
Lesh made the donation to the campaign titled Help Christine Blasey Ford on Sunday, Sept. 23, before Ford testified in gripping detail before the Senate Judiciary Committee about how she was sexually assaulted at a party when she was 15 years old by Kavanagh.
Though the campaign is no longer accepting donations, the effort has raised $528,315 from roughly 11,500 people in just 11 days.
