Women will be pissed even more. Mid-terms come to mind. And although more women will be pissed than men, quite a few men will be as well.

If nothing can be proven then Republicans pounce on Dr. Ford as a partisan liar who was set up for that task, and Trump will equate the entirety to a Democratic witch hunt just like Russia and everything else.

Trump's approval will go up and the GOP will be more motivated toward November.

That is absolutely how it will play out. I see other threads here saying if nothing comes of the FBI investigation then Republicans will treat it like, "He Said, She Said." That is not even close. It will be, "He Bestowed and She Despicably Lied."

Everybody on the GOP will turn into Lindsey Graham, at least in bursts. Their pundits will go crazy.

If the Republicans crammed this through the senate under uncertainty it would have been far preferable for our side than the way it is likely to play out. We would own the energy and feeling of being wronged, not them.

Of course, there is a small chance Kavanaugh is somehow disqualified. I'll root for that but I think they just stumbled into the only thing that could partially save them toward November, like a minor version of Comey 2016.

I fear

It’s all theater. This gives the Republicans the cover they need to get their right wing operative on the court. The latter is necessary to hold Trump above the law and capable of, if needed, issuing a pardon for himself.

I thought we are royally f**ked since 11/9/16. It’s actually worse than I imagined back then.
