Kavanaugh's role in the 1998 Starr investigation indicates he was a political hack even then.

Kavanaugh was Starr's leaker when Jack Gillis and I took on "The Talking Points," the 3-page memo presumptively (by Starr's shitheads) written by Clinton and/or Clinton's men to suborn the perjury of Paula Jones who had brought suit against the President and which was the only piece of "evidence" Starr used to get an extension of authority to investigate the Lewinsky affair as well as his original charge: Whitewater.

From February to August 1998, Jack and I wrote an essay which grew to over forty pages in length and was published on The Real News Page, Salon and other sites. We gradually bubbled up onto newsroom floors and were interviewed on CNN's "Burden of Proof" as well as many radio programs. Using evidence we not only show that the provenance of the document was hybrid, but that it was not written by Clinton or his "men," but was likely written by Linda Tripp (with the aid of Lucianne Goldberg) who dictated the document to Lewinsky (to be handed to Tripp in a sting and turned over to Starr. Farfetched, not for that snake Tripp who phoned Lewsinsky constantly.)

The major point as concerns the present, is that Starr KNEW the document was false since Clinton's deposition of early 1998 (which were not revealed until late that summer) directly contradicted the "points" in "The Talking Points." (After all, why would Clinton prompt someone to swear under oath to something that directly contradicted what he had already sworn?)

Jack and I sparred with Starr for 4-5 of those months during we proved several ways that the document was phony and had columns in the Boston Globe and New York Magazine written about our work. Each time Starr would leak (through Kavanaugh) another supposed fact, we would counter it in the next draft. That is, until the dress. Then the story, as Tom Oliphant said, was over.

The "Talking Points" its suggestion of perjury were washed away by Clinton's ejaculation.

But Kavanaugh had been instrumental for months in Starr's deception as to the "Talking Points."

Don't misunderstand, I am not defending Clinton's harassment and or rapes. Those are as those are. But I am pointing a finger at Kavanaugh and calling him out as the political hack he is.

(On the following Pew Research timeline, we're July 6. But there are many articles covering our work.):

inclined one way or the other. It is the capital city for politics, after all. That does not bother me as much as not having lived a good and moral life.
