Have you heard that kind of reporting anywhere else?
It was encouraging!

(15,543 posts)The KGOP slantings and stylings of David Green and others have put me off. When I listen to NPR, I listen in critical mode, always sorting to try and understand what actually lies behind whatever they are reporting...

(86,673 posts)Maura Liasson, so consider the source. I caught it but it was at the end of a piece that I mostly missed.

(7,390 posts)I don't like all the RW crap they have been doing since the 2016, however.

(9,454 posts)didn't have the votes either. They are a bunch of sneaky snakes and will find a way, if at all possible, to push their rapist through.

(12,344 posts)There are two uncommitted Repubs-Collins and Murkowski- and a buggy 3rd - Flake. As long as they remain uncommitted, they don't have the votes.

(758 posts)Repubs are under great pressure to tow the line. Hatred of McCain was because of his no vote on repealing the ACA. Criticizing the party line brings the death threats and other threats ("we have ways of making you cooperate"

(2,674 posts)Who paid off his credit card debts, which I read were over$200,000. Read he lives 1.5 mil home, how does he afford this. Does his wife have money? These are things that I am curious about, plus the rumors of gambling.
I feel like this guy as more secrets. That may be why the Repubs are in such a hurry to get him confirmed.

(758 posts)and keep them in a quiescent state. Not one of those GOP senators will vote no. Not one. Especially now with the cover of a FIBBY investigation.
On Friday night, I really thought KavaNO would back out. He looked done for.
Now, it seems there's no way stopping him. Yet, he will be forever a tarnished man, many will look on him with revulsion for his disrespect of senators and his florid tantrum. Sort of like pushing your drunk junk in someone's face.

(14,786 posts)There are surely those who are struggling with the decision to step forward. If they believe the rapist won't make it, they will stay quiet.
Especially after the way the gop and riech wing media engine have treated people speaking out.
This is why they continually leak this nonsense. Mcconnel will have the votes he needs when he finally schedules a vote. He is going scorched earth on his members.
The fbi checks are probably complete. The white house likely has the reports in hand. What the turtle does next will tell the strategy they will use to close. flake will fold, followed by either murkowski or collins. Only one will get a you can vote no card.
