I wonder what Conway thinks about her rapist being appointed to the Supreme Court.

Of course I don't believe anyone who has been assaulted would want to be around a person like Trump who has joked about it and even boasted about it.

I can just hear the men in the room say Kelly you can get the advantage by saying you also got assaulted.

Conservative = 👎🏻 Roe. There are lots of candidates for that, but not many so scummy as to protect Fat Donnie and screw the republic.

2. I can believe her assault claim even with her defending men like Trump.

I've seen too many like her.

They blame themselves. They're determined to not be seen as a victim, so much so, they strive to become "one of the boys" as the woman who laughs at all their jokes, regardless of how sexist and horrible - to show they can take it.

Yes, the men in the room will use her claim as a "See! Told ya!"

But that doesn't mean she wasn't sexually assaulted. Means she continues to give power to those who would victimize her each and every day - in all manner of misogynistic ways

Contrary to her thinking that her way of dealing with a sexual assault proves she wasn't impacted by said sexual assault, her actions show how dismissive she (and others) was of her sexual assault. How little she has dealt with it. How little help she got along the way, and indicates to me the people around her - father, mother, sister, brother, friend - blamed her for it with their rape myth thinking. A thinking she herself believes in still.

- Being a victim of sexual assault does not make you weak.
- Does not make you damaged.
- And it is not your fault.

Conway sounds like she believes just the opposite of the three points above.

Not every victim votes the right way. Some victims align with the powerful and feel more protected by being with the group in power.

She is female. Her chances of being assaulted are very high. The fact that she is trying to pursuadr other victims to go with the party glorifying assault, however, is loathesome.

With lots of alcohol and drugs and ego. She said something a few months ago. It wasn’t the words so much as how she said it (“when I was young and still attractive, I had to deal with sexual harassment” or words to that effect.) I listened while she completed her sentence because there was something in her look that was very weary. She then perked up and gave her phony smile but I think I saw real pathos for 3 seconds and I think the questioner did too.

Also, it is rare among my friends to have someone say “never been assaulted.” We had one friend say that the other day and the rest of us were very surprised.

God, I’m sorry to defend Kellyanne. She hurts other women. It’s unforgiveable that she sold her soul.

9. 100% correct, esp. where she grew up. Her timing to reveal this is odd.

.

There was a thought that popped in my head, wondering when either KAC or SBS would state they were sexually assaulted and would shift the blame to the women, instead of the attacker. A close relative of mine was raped by a work friend on the way home from a party. She kept it quite for decades, partially fearing my father, my brother or my reprisals against the person. She really thought that some would accuse her of being careless, but the guy lived near home and he offered to drive her home. She didn't think anyone would believe her, since it was his word against hers. So, with all that, she remained silent.

She could have brought this up before, to stave criticisms of Trump, or to deflate #MeToo, but it was announced--only when there was a political advantage to doing so. My niece was almost dragged into an alley, last year in Philly, while patrons were watching her get mugged and did nothing. She fought like a lioness and hit the guy with a bicycle lock to free herself, then she ran into the restaurant.

So, while I read about KAC, and know there is probably truth to it, her craven timing and conclusions are what I cannot stomach.
