The memories are coming back. Remember ducktail hair cuts, Nehi sodas, the Twist and Hula-Hoops?

In middle-TN farm country, we mostly swam in creeks and farm ponds but I remember we got to go to a public pool in the county seat once or twice a year (mid-60s) and they would play Beach Boys and Beatles over the speakers. We thought we were hot shit.

That was a close as I ever got to a beach until I was well up into my 30s. I guess that makes me a certified hick....
