1 big thing: Trump's kids crisis gets worse

MON, OCT 1

A majority of the separated migrant families who were in the news earlier this year have been reunited. But another kids crisis is growing: The Trump administration is struggling to provide shelter and find homes for a record-breaking 13,000+ migrant children in its custody, Axios' Stef Kight reports.

Even though the scandal is mostly out of the news, the numbers have ballooned, from 2,400 detained migrant children last year to 13,000 today, the N.Y. Times reports.

The federal government is struggling to house them, resulting in traumatic forced moves from established shelters to spartan tent cities.

Article5. No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

[The Universal Declaration of Human Rights
On December 10, 1948 the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted and proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.]

The Human Rights Committee is the United Nations human rights treaty body responsible for overseeing implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) through its consideration of State reports, individual complaints, and inter-State complaints, and its preparation of general comments, substantive statements, and general discussions on topics addressed in the ICCPR. As of December 2017, 169 States are party to the ICCPR.

Note: Unfortunately only those with immediate information of violation of abuse, atrocity can file a complaint!! A class action complaint seems to be the only route to file crimes against humanity on trump, his advisors, those who implemented, those who continue to abuse and torture children.
