6. Hopefully, if this is true, then Swetnick will file a criminal complaint,

but don't expect it to go far, given the lack of any evidence after so many years, but just the fact that a criminal complaint is filed should forever sink his nomination.

Also, she backpedalled on some of the statements in her original declaration, the 4 witnesses she named haven't helped at all, 1 says he's never heard of her, 1 is deceased, and the other 2 haven't come forward to confirm her story, also the police officer she says she reported the rape to, he's also deceased.

Sorry, but so far, her allegations aren't looking to kosher, but who knows, maybe it'll pan out.

It was somewhat unclear, but it seemed that attempted rape and rape did not have a time limitation. Attempting to feel someone up against their will did.

3. Don't see how since she cannot positively identify any of her assailants

She says she knew that Kavanaugh and Judge were nearby when she was pushed into a room and raped, but she was intoxicated and possibly drugged to such an extent that she was not able to fend them off or identify exactly who assaulted her.

4. Where have you seen that she filed a police report at the time?

If she had... the nomination would already be over. There would be a contemporaneous record that he was named as being involved in a gang rape.

As to such a complaint being reopened? I doubt it. If they didn't prosecute it back then, what new evidence could they have learned?

But now she can name him. And the police can follow up and investigate the report.

10. The cop she talked to has died

And the police department tells her it might take as much as a month to find the paperwork. That’s what the journalist that interviewed her says. They are still looking for corroboration. She says she told her mother but her mother has already died.

She claimed she told 4 friends. One claims he doesn’t know her and I’m not sure about one of the others. Two of them have still not been found. That’s where it stands right now.

13. Makes you wonder whether her attorney doesn't believe her or is incompetant

The first question has to be whether she filed a report at the time and... if yes... go get a copy of the report.

Things over the last month would have gone very differently if Avenatti was holding a police report from the early 80s naming Kavanaugh/Judge as being present at a gang rape.

I'm guessing that it predates their computer record system.

15. Which leads right back to my implied question

Why didn't Avenatti request the police report weeks ago? If it exists and names Kavanaugh, it would obviously be incredibly damning evidence (putting him right at the top of the hero-worship list for stopping the nomination)... yet he didn't request it???

That screams that he doesn't believe his client.

How also could he allow her to name at least two confirming witnesses that he obviously did no vetting on (since once says she hasn't heard of his client and one is dead)??? That hints that he knew she was lying and went out of his way to avoid learning it for certain (so that he wouldn't be personally liable)
