After years of endless self-aggrandizing braggadocio, you have now been exposed as a liar, a thief, a fraud, and an incompetent pResident who lost the popular vote by millions of votes.
Your so-called election depended on interference by the Russians, and you are now under investigation for your role in that interference.
The best people you bragged about surrounding yourself with are under investigation themselves, or have already been indicted and convicted. Many have resigned under a cloud of corruption, and those still in place have demonstrated their utter incompetence.
Your personal lawyer, your campaign manager, members of your transition team, and your first national security advisor have pled guilty to crimes, and are now cooperating with Mueller the man who is investigating every aspect of your corruption.
You are reviled the world over, and cant travel to any foreign country without being met with thousands of protesters. The United Nations General Assembly literally laughed in your face when you tried to tell them how successful your administration has been, and you are the butt of late-night monologue jokes and political cartoons around the world.
Your ludicrous tweets have proven beyond all doubt that you are illiterate, and cant string two sentences together that make even a modicum of sense. It is now well-known that your daily briefings have to be dumbed down in hopes that you might possibly understand them.
Your ignorance of how our government operates has been painfully on display on a daily basis, and your incredible stupidity with respect to international affairs has made you a global laughingstock.
You are under investigation for colluding with our enemies and obstructing justice, and your own family members are vulnerable to being charged with crimes as well.
The Trump organization is also under investigation, as well as your charitable foundation.
Your self-touted sexual prowess has been refuted by women who are in a position to know exactly how inept you are as a lover, along with how incredibly disappointing the size of your "manhood" turned out to be.
Your lies have been documented, and the quantity along with the sheer ridiculousness of those lies are now a matter of public record.
You have demonstrated your lack of character, your pettiness, and your inability to even understand just how ridiculous your statements and actions are in the eyes of the nation, and the world at large.
The only people who still believe your bullshit are the toadies who wont admit its bullshit because they think sucking-up to you will advance their own political careers, and your brain-dead base people who also believe that the earth is six thousand years old and a self-declared pussy-grabber was anointed by god to lead a nation.
Thanks to you, the Republican party is hemorrhaging members, and the elected politicians who have defended you are facing annihilation in the midterms.
Thanks to you, the United States is now seen as a lesser power on the world stage. Thanks to you, the US presidency is viewed as just another office vulnerable to corruption.
And now, in the midst of all of above, the failing New York Times has exposed your most fervent and oft-made brag that of being a self-made man as being just another self-promoted myth. You never earned a dime that your daddy didnt put in your pocket; you never achieved a single success on your own. Were it not for your daddys money, you would undoubtedly have been just another brilliant businessman" with a hot-dog stand on 5th Avenue or, more likely, given your penchant for ignoring the law, the operator of a chop-shop on the lower east side.
So tell me, was it worth it? You were once a self-proclaimed business success, able to get away with tax evasion and all kinds of corrupt behaviour and now, thanks to your desire to be pResident, you are facing scrutiny of every aspect of your business dealings, every aspect of your personal life, every aspect of your lying, thieving ways.
Not only have you invited that scrutiny into your own life, you have invited that scrutiny into the lives of your own children, and every person who has ever been associated with you. Im sure theyre all eternally grateful for having been made subject to investigation and possible criminal prosecution.
In summary, Spanky, you are now known for everything from colluding with the Russians to lying to the populace on a daily basis, from being an openly racist/homophobe to inciting violence against your perceived enemies, from being a dumber-than-dumb ignoramus to being a dumber-than-dumb pResident who is laughed at by the entire world.
And now your last defence, that of being a self-made man, has been reduced to rubble.
The fact that you never saw it coming this exposure of being a lying idiot who never would have been a success without daddys money shoring you up every time you failed is a living testament to just how much of a failure you are now, and have always been.
There was a time you could and did get away with every lie, every false claim, every ridiculous statement about being a successful businessman, and a sought-after ladies man whose sexual prowess was uncontested.
Now youre just a pathetic habitual liar known for his abject stupidity and a small dick, along with being a daddys boy who never achieved anything without daddys money.
Congratulations on having set yourself up for being exposed for what you really are a fuckin nobody who thought he could be a somebody, and foolishly believed that no one would recognize a con-artist when they saw one sitting in the Oval Office preaching the gospel of dont believe your own eyes and ears.
Was it worth it? Apparently it wasnt. But thats just another demonstration of your incredible stupidity the idea that you eschewed your private life as a successful businessman in order to be exposed as a fraud. It really doesnt get any dumber than that.

(5,722 posts)Tonight, Rachel Maddow used as an example that if one of Fred Trump's buildings needed a boiler, and the actual cost of that needed Boiler was ten thousand dollars. It would then be reported that that boiler would be charged by a phony LLC called, "All County Building and Maintanance " a company owned by his son Donald, and Fred would be charged for fifty thousand dollars for that boiler.
This kind of tax scheme scenerio was somehow used to funnel money from Fred Trump to Donald Trump.
Did i miss something with this type of tax scheme?
Wouldn't the phony LLC called "All County Building and Maintanance" company have to show the incredibly expensive cost or profit of that expenditure to the IRS?
lunatica
(53,410 posts)They would use the receipts for these supposed $50 thousand dollar boilers and get the city to allow them to raise the rent of their tenants, because the addition of the boilers was so expensive.
Imagine doing that hundreds of times in hundreds of schemes, every day of their lives.

(2,067 posts)But I dont think hes miserable. I think hes doing exactly what he wanted to do. Reputation is meaningless to him, power is everything to him, and hes got everything he ever wanted.
Even if he paid attention to his popularity #s, his ego wouldnt let him believe theyre real, so its a pointless exercise.
It just is what it is; us desperately hoping hes miserable just makes us miserable.
NanceGreggs
(27,818 posts)"Reputation" is everything to him. If it weren't, he wouldn't persist in lying about how successful he is - as a businessman, as a "pResident", as a macho man who the ladies find irresistible.
Any hint that he is anything other than everything he has claimed to be is a knife in his heart - something to be fought against, dismissed, explained away as an attack by his political enemies.
If he didn't care about what is said about him, he wouldn't bother addressing it. He wouldn't immediately hit his tweet button to counter it. He wouldn't claim that it's all "fake news".
His reaction to every word said against him is a "tell" - he can't shut up, even when his denials are downright ludicrous.
He may be stupid beyond all imagining - but even a stupid man knows when he's being attacked, and conducts himself accordingly.

(6,831 posts)And now, thanks to your misogyny, your disrespect of all women and your war on women, you have set our country back to the dark ages when women are once again terrified to report sexual assault. Fear of being humiliated, slut-shamed and dragged through the slime by you at your press conferences and ego-boosting rallies, you have just sent women back into the darkness and silence.
It is already well-known that rape is grossly under-reported. Now, women will feel once again that they are never going to be believed, no matter how savage the attack, how demoralizing the assault, how many years of their lives are lost because of the trauma they have experienced, because you and your tone deaf stupidity have re-traumatized them all over again.
Congratulations.

If I take credit for anything on my own behalf, it is that I am a lowly troubadour who sings - hopefully not too off-key - the songs I learn every day from those who are composing the soundtrack of our political history.
I thank every one of you who have, albeit unknowingly, contributed to the thoughts behind my words, and have guided my pen with such passion and expertise.

Daddy got a doctor to write a letter claiming that little Donnie had bone spurs that kept him from going to Nam but didn't keep him from playing tennis and baseball.
I bet if the truth be known he never passed his SAT's for college, he certainly wouldn't pass the grammar and vocabulary part. Maybe that's where he saw the word covfefe?
I'm pretty sure he is lying when he claims to have graduated from Wharton Business School, I believe he only went to Wharton undergraduate school. And as far as I am concerned, from listening to his professors, did he even graduate? I would like to see his diploma.
I believe he never wanted to win the presidency. When he got to a certain point, in too deep, Putin took over and brought him across the finish line. Too bad for little Donnie, he could have been a TV star again.

(7,142 posts)Being a narcissist makes it much worse on him, he has to be miserable. Like in the book "A Brave new World," when the people become depressed they are given a drug, "soma," to make them happy, for a while. Trump's soma was his golf, but at his age, and from watching some of his shots, he is slipping there and can't be having that much fun. He has turned to having campaign rallies to pep him up, but his rallies are getting less people to boost his fragile ego.
I still think he may have a nervous breakdown in the not too distant future. Thoughts and prayers to you mother fucker.

When he's through being President, he'll be the toast of parties. He'll be invited everywhere. People will want their pictures taken with him. He will be called "Mr. President." He will have Secret Service security for the rest of his life, proof to all who see him that he is one of the chosen few.
So yes. It's been worth it, to him. There are rarely consequences for the elite white male, unless you cross a certain boundary, like Bernie Madoff. Trump has not been prosecuted for direct fraud of individuals, so he's safe.

He commits fraud repeatedly throughout his life, is cruel to people, pathologically lies...and ends up President, never having to serve in a war despite being drafted 5 times, and inheriting multiple millions of dollars in today's dollars. Never criminally prosecuted. Repeatedly finds beautiful women to marry. Continues to get loans despite filing bankruptcy multiple times.
I would hope he'd be held accountable for his actions. We'll see.

(27,818 posts)If Trump had never been "elected", he would be back in NY, enjoying his penthouse and his wealthy lifestyle, laundering money, cheating workers out of their pay, running a bogus "university", evading taxes. etc.
Instead, he's looking down the barrel of Mueller's gun, and he's been exposed as an illiterate serial liar who has made a fool of himself in front of the world.
I've no doubt that there have been many, many times he's regretted what he gave up to be "pResident" - a position that's put him in legal jeopardy that never would have existed otherwise.
And depending on what Mueller uncovers, Spanky may never be able to return to his old life again.
