Some day, Ol' Chin Hammock will get his comeuppance and that day can't come soon enough.

In a speech in August 2016, McConnell boasted: “One of my proudest moments was when I looked Barack Obama in the eye and I said, ‘Mr. President, you will not fill the Supreme Court vacancy.’”

I wish I believed he'll live long enough for some kind of justice to be meted out, somehow, eventually...but I don't believe that. Same for most of these pasty old white bastards--they'll probably all die rich and privileged, without ever facing any repercussions for their misdeeds. Unless medical science finds a way to extend their lifespans--which is a possibility, really.

Actually, I wouldn't be shocked if at some point in the relatively near future, there are medical advances that allow rich people to live up to several hundred years, with the capability to re-grow ailing organs in vats, or just replace them with body parts taken from the less economically fortunate...that, combined with a stolen judiciary branch and a corrupt GOP occupying whatever percentage of roles in Congress, that will issue a ruling that a president is immune from any kind of legal prosecution and has unlimited pardon power. Then they'd just have to do away with term limits, suspend the electoral process (perhaps due to some kind of "national security" concern related to brown people)...then they could keep the orange fuckstick where he is for decades; a real "God Emperor," just like the assholes of the world wanted.

Pretty sure that's the aspiration of the oligarchs, anyway...to live forever and rule over all us peons with impunity. In some respects, aside from the living-for-hundreds-of-years part, we're already there, and heading more in that direction every day we allow these mendacious scum to hold the reigns of power. Witness the disgusting tax giveaway to the wealthy...the GOP approach has long been to serve the interests of the rich, at the expense of everyone else.

he's played enough games over the last 12 years, at the least.

Way past time for Mitch to get the hell out of politics. Go play with your ill-gotten gains.
