Brett "Bart" Kavanaugh

I had the idea that maybe he called himself Bart because of Bart Simpson. . . I mean, I heard he said, "I like beer." 29 times during that hearing. That is what Bart Simpson says all the time "Ummm, beer."
Just a thought.

... Jesuit prep school. One of his teachers when addressing him when he first got to know him, mixed up the name Brett and often referred to him as Bart. The boys all got a kick out of this. Brett and his buddies now commonly referred to Brett as Bart. An inside joke of sorts that caught on as his new nickname at prep school and stuck with him in his group of close prep school and college buddies.

Bart is the son.
And his high school years predate The Simpsons.
