"Is the FBI's credibility now at stake?" "It's the deep divide in American politics". BS.

In the context of considering an SC nominee who is deeply partisan, a hypocrite, a gambler whose debts suddenly disappeared, an alcoholic who won’t admit it, who lies under oath, and who has a total angry meltdown AT his Senate confirmation hearing, and a president shifting his position and mocking an earnest victim at a rally, it is disgusting to hear the slanted patter that surrounds the topic on the so-called “liberal” news channels at 5:30 pm eastern.

There’s Chuck Todd bemoaning the “deep divide” in American politics, and stating that the Ford case is a Rohrschach ink blot test.

There’s Wolf Blitzer on CNN asking “Is the FBI’s credibility now at stake?” and “it’s he said she said”. “This (theFBI background check) will make it easier for redstate Democrats to vote FOR the nomination”

If this were a democratic president whose nominee was so glaringly ill-suited for the Supreme Court, the questions would be:
“WHY would the president nominate such an absurdly inappropriate person to the Supreme Court?
The Republicans are really going to be able to use this in the midterms
This nomination was a big fail and the president needs to withdraw it and find a better candidate
The president’s credibility is at an all time low now with this nomination.
