I never trust a narcissistBut they love me
So I play 'em like a violin
And I make it look oh so easy
'Cause for every lie I tell them
They tell me three
This is how the world works
Now all he thinks about is me
I can feel the flames on my skin
Crimson red paint on my lips
If a man talks shit, then I owe him nothing
I don't regret it one bit, 'cause he had it coming
They say I did something bad
Then why's it feel so good?
They say I did something bad
But why's it feel so good?
Most fun I ever had
And I'd do it over and over and over again if I could
It just felt so good, good
I never trust a playboy
But they love me
So I fly him all around the world
And I let them think they saved me
They never see it comin'
What I do next
This is how the world works
You gotta leave before you get left
I can feel the flames on my skin
He says, "Don't throw away a good thing"
But if he drops my name, then I owe him nothin'
And if he spends my change, then he had it comin'
They say I did something bad
Then why's it feel so good?
They say I did something bad
But why's it feel so good?
Most fun I ever had
And I'd do it over and over and over again if I could
It just felt so good, good
It just felt so good
They're burning all the witches, even if you aren't one
They got their pitchforks and proof
Their receipts and reasons
They're burning all the witches, even if you aren't one
So light me up (light me up), light me up (light me up)
Light me up, go ahead and light me up (light me up)
Light me up (light me up), light me up (light me up)
Light me up (light me up), light me up (light me up)
They say I did something bad
Then why's it feel so good?
They say I did something bad
But why's it feel so good?
Most fun I ever had
And I'd do it over and over and over again if I could
It just felt so good, good
Oh, you say I did something bad
Then why's it feel so good, good?
So bad, why's it feel so good?
Why's it feel, why's it feel so good? (Bad)
It just felt so good, good

She gives loads to charity, and also earns money hand over fist. She is worth hundreds of millions of dollars. D-45 is not.

(26,076 posts)I have been a fan of hers since she was a teen singing Country, and I have no idea why people think a woman of 28 writes and sings the same lyrics as a teenager.

(51,559 posts)Seems to me she must have a broad fan base if she's writing like that.

(33,956 posts)My granddaughter was 5 at the time. She was so sweet to her and attentive. She made my granddaughter feel very special. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for her.
Separation
(1,975 posts)But I took my (then) 12 years old daughter to go see her Fearless Tour.
She had sung two or three songs and then you could tell she was doing a set/costume change. The lights went all dark for 20 seconds ds ot so and then BAM! The spotlight pops up right next to me and my daughter (we were on the end seat of the aisle) and Taylor Swift was within arms grasp of me. I immediately swapped seats with my daughter so she could get next to her. My daughter still talks about that and she is a 22 year old woman now, like she was still 12/13.
To be honest though, my excitement wore off in about 5 seconds because you could literally feel the stadium shift to get closer to her (almost on top of us) and I'm one of those guys who counts airplane seats, closet exit, etc whenever I go into a building/plane. It was pretty surreal moment. My daughter said recently she was so excited she forgot to get pictures of a video of it. This was still a year or two before people lived through their camera phone. I told her that it wouldnt have been as special if she was viewing it through a phone vs her just paying total attention to her.
My daughter still love Taylor Swift and still buys concert tickets when she tours. I asked her recently what she thinks of Swifts statement, and she said, "That she probably wont lose very many fans over this." and "She probably just opened the eyes of millions of girls/teens and women all over." I have to agree with her.
