How is this happening?

I just don't understand how the Trump party is succeeding in portraying Democrats who protest against Kavanaugh and the other horrors perpetrated by these lunatics as a "violent mob." The Trump party, which consists of unhinged, ignorant, bigoted, violent, fear-mongering, anti-democratic thugs, is somehow able, with the connivance of the media, to promote this propaganda. How the hell is this happening?

Republicans and the press successfully portrayed Hillary as a criminal (emails! Benghazi! Foundation!) while ignoring the massive problems with Trump.

The conservative media is massive and everywhere. It is funded by billionaires. They have a giant megaphone.

Justice within the bounds of the law, yes.

I keep hearing people (on another website) talk about angry mobs of democrats/BLM/anti-fascists threatening/attacking/harassing people on the street, destroying property and inciting police. When I asked somewhere WTF they were getting this nonsense, someone told me, "Well, we see in on TV." Huh ?

I was told that there are "announcements" - not ads, or news or even PSAs, but just blerbs on television in the rural areas in middle, fly-over states showing people engaged in this kind of behavior. No one seemed to know who sponsored this crap, but it IS out there. I recognized some of the footage from protests during "Occupy Wall Street" and clashes during the last election.

If THIS is what mid-America is seeing on rural TV, is it any wonder we're hearing about the "violent thugs" ?

Has anyone on DU seen any of this footage ?
