This might be the smoking gun that connects Trump to Russian interference in the election. Before the 2016 election, the NYT reporter contacts Alfa Bank lobbyist in Washington, DC; 24 hours later, the Trump domain disappears from the internet.

The other striking piece of information, the NYT held off on informing the public (prior to the election) that there was an open FBI investigation into Trump and Russia.
