Hey, remember that time Jared Kushner unexpectedly flew to Saudi Arabia for three days?

And holed up with a lot of top-level people in the Kingdom? And how pretty much right after that the crown prince basically took over the country, nearly got into a shooting war with Qatar, and began a massive internal crackdown that pretty clearly had an external intelligence source?

Man, what a weird coincidence that is.

Sort of like the time Mike Flynn's staff was seen improperly removing classified material from a locker, and the next week Russian diplomats start falling out of 4th story windows.

What an amazing, coincidence-filled world this is.

24 hours of the media making her out to be some kind of bastion of goodness for the GOP - that statement alone should be enough to disqualify her has as the trump psychophant she is.

how these weasels operate in the private sector. In the dark. Sneaking around. Maneuvering around any rules and conventions under the assumption that rules really don’t apply to them. Rigging the game and gaming the system. Lots of back room wheeler-dealing.

This is what they do in the trump Organization. How they’ve ALWAYS done “business.” Which is why there’s so much potential criminality when investigators and the press actually start digging around in their “private” “business” interests. The sneaky shit, the corner-cutting, the profiteering, the law-breaking, the brazen tax evasion, the slick slimy “arrangements” and slick slimy people they deal with. The stuff that cheaters and swindlers like to do in the shadows where they think the coast is clear and nobody ooking and no one’s paying attention (especially when you’re good at distracting and throwing up smoke screens). I hope it ALL comes out. ALL OF IT.

Lock ‘em up.

And what will be left by the time we're able to do something decisive to start fixing everything that they've broken, and restoring everything they've ripped to shreds?

Eventually yes. Merely because nothing lasts forever. This too shall pass. But WHEN??? HOW LONG is this gonna last??? And how long do we have to endure this "new normal" before it's over? How many will die? How many lives will be ruined? PERMANENTLY ruined? Both here and abroad? How big a price will we have to pay? And how many will think that, when it finally does end, they can just roll over and go back to sleep? That's how it's been for OUR party. I hope we Democrats don't make that mistake again. NEVER again. It's one thing to gain ground. But then you have to KEEP that ground you gained, and hopefully build on it and extend it. That's what the Democrats collectively did NOT do after the civil rights movement and the women's movement and the long and agonizing push to end the Vietnam War finally happened. Once we got a Democrat back in the White House after Nixon and Ford, then most of us went back to sleep thinking the job was done. It WASN'T! It had only started! And the ones who DID NOT drop their weapons, or admit defeat, or come to their senses were the bad guys. They NEVER stopped working toward the goal of what we're seeing play out now. They've been at it for FORTY YEARS. Or MORE. They resurrected themselves with Reagan and they've never stopped since. And we stayed mostly asleep (except to pile on Jimmy Carter and refuse to have his back - so it was inevitable he'd get run over).

DAMMIT, we CAN'T AFFORD to roll over and go back to sleep! Not EVER!!! Not with an enemy that pulls all-nighters as a deeply-ingrained habit.
