Fishy Haley timing...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikki_Haley

On October 9, 2018, she tendered her resignation as the U.N. Ambassador, which President Donald Trump accepted.[145] Haley's resignation emerged a day after an anti-corruption watchdog accused her of accepting seven luxury private plane trips as gifts from South Carolina business leaders.[146] However, Haley's official resignation date, and the date of her meeting with President Trump is October 3, 2018, before the watchdog accusation emerged.

1. It is likely she knew they were going to ask for an investigation.

It is also likely that like all others in the Trump admenstruation she is dirty as hell.

missed the whole $52k for drapes for her NYC pad story. Wonder what kind of apartment she has. I know custom drapes are expensive - but $52k? She must have 20 windows?

That apartment is a diplomatic facility of the US State Department, and is used for official receptions. The drapes are automatic solar drapes.

It is one of those stories that was spiked for people to jump on, not realizing the expenditure was authorized in the Obama administration.

Editors’ Note: September 14, 2018

An earlier version of this article and headline created an unfair impression about who was responsible for the purchase in question. While Nikki R. Haley is the current ambassador to the United Nations, the decision on leasing the ambassador’s residence and purchasing the curtains was made during the Obama administration, according to current and former officials. The article should not have focused on Ms. Haley, nor should a picture of her have been used. The article and headline have now been edited to reflect those concerns, and the picture has been removed.

Congrats. You bought it, hook, line and sinker.

5. Not her apartment, and the Trump administration didn't even buy the drapes.

The drapes aren’t a scandal... at least not hers anyway.

About why she is leaving.

These people are so deceitful that you cannot trust anything they do to be aboveboard.

6. Is it in the back of anyone else's mind that this was planned all along?

Haley served two years, burnished her foreign policy chops for a later run, steps aside unscathed with a plum job yet to be announced, and voila—golden princess Ivanka is all set up to be moved into her place as the UN ambassador.

7. What better place to discuss foreign business deals than at the UN?

I would not be surprised to see Jared or Ivanka put into place.
