It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.....

Video: Just A Llama Wandering The Streets Of Brooklyn

Runaway animals have become one of the best subgenres of NYC animal stories, and today we may have a new one: a llama (or perhaps an Alpaca) was spotted on the lam in Borough Park this afternoon.

I had a couple of them. One tried to disembowel me while sheering, another attacked my son. TheBlackAdder Oct 2018 #2
Interesting - they always seem so mellow. TeapotInATempest Oct 2018 #3

.

Still, they are slightly better than owning pigs. Pigs and mini pigs are the worst farm animals.

The best farm animals are miniature donkeys.

On the other hand, I'm a born and bred city girl, so what do I know?

I just looked up miniature donkeys and now I want one, haha. Do you have any experience with mini goats, by chance?

thoroughbred horses
quarter horses,
mini donkeys,
llamas,
alpacas,
sheep,
highland cattle,
goats,
pigs,
various chickens for eggs and hatching,
guinea hens,
ducks,
geese,
peacocks,
rabbits,
dogs,
cats,
fish,
and probably stuff I can't remember right now.

Goats are funny, they can escape from most fenced in areas, but as long as they have other companions, they won't try to escape. Watch the horns though, they move abruptly and I've come a few times where I could have lost an eye.
