A colorful Governor of Alabama was Big Jim Folsom. One story was that aides warned him opponents might use his infidelities against him. He is alledged to have said If theybtry to catch Big Jim Folsom with some good lookin blond..they’re gonna catch him every time! A true story. VIPs were aboard an aircraft carrier off the coast of Virginia. Folsom showed up late still tipsy from drinking all night. A plane took off then immediately exploded, pilot ejecting. The horrified hushed silence was broken by Folsom slapping his thigh loudly saying “Well kiss my ass if that weren’t a show!”

I bet Folsom could relate to Carlin

I have much respect for Jim Folsom Jr. I know he removed the Confederate flag from the Alabama capiol when he was governor in the early 90s.
