(15,543 posts)republicans are always such a disappointment. I guess the republican Draft-Dodger-in-Chief don't luv the panhandle as much as he luv him Puerto Rico. Sad. All around. Super sad.

(5,528 posts)You could easily have several hundred thousand people affected by the storm. Several meals a day over 5 days and it adds up pretty quickly. Besides, distributed might also mean sent to the shelters for future use for the long term displaced.
I have a problem with the definition of we. I suspect that he is counting all the meals from fema, red cross and every other organization out there. He has a very special talent for jumping in front of a camera and taking credit for work that other people are doing.
I have no doubt that if there is a live rescue, he will announce it as we

In Panama City yesterday

(4,429 posts)They did that during the last hurricane (at the main library). There was almost no one there to get the food.
My daughter and I took some - because there was literally so much - and no one was there FOR food. They were there to be at the library - and since there was food, a few stopped in and took some.
(So, this accounts for some of the meals.......)

(4,429 posts)So, I just hear from friends. There were lots of trees down, but nothing more than other storms that rolled through.
(I had heard that the library was giving out food again, though .
We're up in VT. I don't miss the weather at all. I like it here. But we lived in a really supportive and interactive neighborhood (we had lots of friends). And I miss that .
