Sadly, as NBC is reporting tonight, a smear campaign against Khashoggi has begun, to label him a Muslim extremist. I saw it begin in several print sources already.

Of course they've had Washington Post reporters on - and others who knew him, but the propaganda has started, led by Trump, no big surprise.

So I hear that WaPo has hired a batch more investigative reporters. I suspect it's a deep grudge match now. And that's good for democracy. Watchdog press standing between the people and tyranny.

With Trump, we keep hearing that we're entering uncharted waters - and this horrific murder has got to be as bad as it gets, though this isn't the first time we've heard that, either.
