General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsMorning Joe and company are ranting and raving about Democrats and their message.
What they are ignoring is that the media gives the majority of its time chasing Trump instead of covering those Democrats who are messaging to their constituents. CNN gives a better platform to Democrats than Morning Joke. There is always the voices of the left allowed to vent on their morning shows.

These are carefully delivered right wing messages meant to continue their degradation of the beliefs and actions of the electorate.
Because a degraded, deceived, and demoralized electorate is the only way they can win. Joe cannot tell the truth and elect Republicans now any better than he could while he was officially a Republican himself.

(58,785 posts)[Demonizing the Koch brothers] "...doesnt even work in Manhattan where people thank God for David Koch. I mean, they do.
If you have cancer, youll be thanking David Koch. If you love the arts, you will thank David Koch. You will thank the Koch Brothers.
"To say that the Koch brothers are against everything that is good with America and calling them quote un-American, that by definition is McCarthyism, ~ Scarborough equating Democrats with that notoriously evil Republican era.
Just a couple of many positive things Scarborough's said as he attempts to portray these criminal, even murderous plutocrats as very misunderstood, actually good, decent and "gracious" benefactors of America. Quite the buddies they've become.
We're in a giant battle for power and the future of our nation. And Scarborough is strongly aligned with those he believes will win.

(14,276 posts)He is urging voters to go with a straight Democratic ticket. This morning he renounced what the Republican party has become. He makes it clear he is no longer a Republican because it has become a party of thugs.
I acknowledge he used to march in lock step with the GOP, but that is not what he has said for months now. The imprisonment of immigrant children appears to have been the straw that finally broke his back.

(7,768 posts)He's saying their 24/7 message should be, "The Republicans want to KILL you by taking away your health care. They want to KILL your kids. They want your grandma in the nursing home thrown out in the street."

(58,785 posts)Both Scarborough and the Kochs oppose what Trumpist insanity is doing to our nation, and their domestic and international profit lines. They very much want to keep control of the senate, and would prefer to keep control of the house, but faced with the current situation are willing to lose control of the house temporarily while the Democrats act as a check on Trump and restore some needed order and stability.
Do remember that #1 VP Pence, #2 Paul Ryan, #3 Orrin Hatch, almost all of Trump's original cabinet, and the Heritage Society list of potential SCOTUS appointees, along with most of the Republican senate, were all Koch-approved.
So is Joe. Don't be fooled into imagining they, and their alliance of at least several hundred fellow centimillionaires and billionaires, are going anywhere. The Kochs especially have always taken a long view, and their plotting of over 40 years is finally very close to success.
Theirs and that of other hardcore right wing groups they ally with, of course, including white nationalists and social and religious right wingers. Great overlap among these groups, of course.

(26,060 posts)yesterday on Nicole Wallace's show. Nicole, Steve Schmidt, Gene Robinson and Rosie O'Donnell were the panel. Wallace and Schmidt are thoroughly unsympathetic to the entire Republican Party and want the Dems to win big in November so nobody can accuse them of party loyalty like Joe. They think the entire message for Dems should be putting a check on trump. I agree.

(50,313 posts)And they shouldn't be afraid to dump all over Tiny and his policies. The main point of the Trump presidency is grift. Get as much as they can from the treasury and enough hate stirred up to start a nasty network when (if) he leaves. Democrats should be uttering Social Security and Medicare in every other sentence. We've got the younger voters, but many old people are - mysteriously - sticking with the King of Con. Wish I could be there, but obviously I'd be a really annoying dinner companion. LOL.
